{Anissa & Michelle: Just for fun!}

Meet Anissa & Michelle: 2 great friends who dressed up and brought their own ideas to the photoshoot (which I love!). We got lots of great shots with brick walls and had some really yummy light! I was disapointed at first, because the wind blew their hair around and just kind of wrecked some of the pictures, but  we still got some good pictures :) It helped that they were super photogenic!! :)

Anissa & Michelle, thank you so much for letting me take some pictures of you, two! You guys were fun, and I hope you like the results :)

{Fawns Family}

Meet my Uncle Tim, Auntie Jackie, Lexi, Mac, & Shade! It was a priviledge to take pictures for Aunty Jac, because I've learned a lot from her over the years. She is kinda the one who has instilled in me the desire to travel (someday!) and she has motivated me in various positive ways! Enjoy the picture :)

I apologize for the lack of blog posts. Unlike many bloggers, I'm not a great blogger. I can't blog about nothing and everything and make boring things sound interesting. I can't write great stories and make people laugh and entertain them. I like posting pictures, but my internet is so slow, and it is so time consuming, and I usually have way more things to do than wait on my computer.

And in all honesty, I don't have much to blog about. I have really slowed down with my photography. I went to college to be a nurse, and I want nursing to my priority carreer. And as odd as this may sound, I feel that for me, my photography is almost selfish and prideful. (Don't get me wrong-I'm not saying photographers are selfish and prideful). People can look at my pictures and comment on them and compliment me on them. And sometimes I'm proud of my pictures, and it goes to my head. (And other times I hate my pictures and criticize and critique them to no end!) But when I work as a nurse, nobody (except for my patients) know if I'm a good nurse or not. Nobody except for my patients can pat me on the back and tell me that I'm good at what I do. So for me, nursing is less prideful and way more selfless. Nursing isn't about me and what I'm good at, but about caring for people. So while I have really cut back on photography this winter, I have completed a bunch of modules on various nursing topics, I've attended a few courses for nursing, I'm getting more sleep...I'm doing more things so that I'm a better, more equipped nurse. And to me, that's important!

For Christmas, I got a book full of photography tips! I've thumbed through it and practiced the ideas and just played around with my camera. I love it! :) It reminded me why I started doing pictures in the first place--because its fun, allows me to be creative, and well, it's just fun :) So I'm not giving up on photography. I'm just slowing down, trying to keep my priorities in life straight, and trying to have more fun taking pictures.

So basically what I've been trying to say is::: that if you're interested in having me photograph you and your loved ones, just ask! I may or may not say yes, depending on how busy and booked up I am! (and what my priorities are at the given time!)
:)
