{Baby Lily}

Meet Lily! She is baby number two for Jason & Janett and little sister for Deon! She was a model poser once I figured out that she liked to be very nice and warm! Deon absolutely loves her, and I'm so happy to see their family growing!

Jason & Janett, thanks for having me capture Lily as a newborn! :) And for being patient with me as I slowly edited them...

 (not sure why my black and white photos look so spotty and purple once I've uploaded them onto the my blog...any ideas anyone?)

 Janett's grandparents live in South Africa, so this photo is for them.

A special thanks to Andrea for borrowing me flowers, hair clips, heating pads and making me diaper covers :)
And thanks to Leanna for giving me the baby scale :)

{Another Sneak Peak!}

Sneak peak of these pretty ladies! I did pictures for their whole family, but just wanted to quick share these two for now!

I just love the light pouring in the background!

{Beyers}

This was my second time doing pictures for the Beyer family, and I loved it! :) I love doing a variety of different subjects in photography, and I got to take some casual shots of the girls, couples photos, large family photos, pregnancy announcement photos, and kids photos-all in one photo shoot! It doesn't get much better than that! More big family pictures to come yet! :)

{Deon}

l had to take pictures of his sweet baby sister, and while Lily was getting fed, I snapped a few of this happy guy! My friends have such cute, well-behaved kids, and Deon's little smile absolutely melts my heart!

 such a little turkey! :)

This is probably one of my most favorite pictures!

{Hard Decision}

I have already told many of you this, but I have made the decision to quit photography as a business. I'm not saying I'm quitting photography, because I still plan to take lots of pictures, and will still take pictures of my family. I still want to take more photography courses, and I don't think I'll ever stop looking at photography blogs and pins and dreaming about photography. I am simply too busy. And I think that today, the photography business is sort of like 'go big or go home.' Either I buy more props, spend time advertising and promoting my photography, put more time and effort in, take more photography courses, develop my own packaging, and buy more camera equipment, or I quit. I guess I'm taking the easy way out, but I'm happy with my decision.

I do really want to thank all of the people who have allowed me to do pictures for them in the past! I also should mention that I will honour my commitment to those who have pictures booked with me for next year. I officially will be done doing pictures at the end of December.

Another reason that I want to quit photography and be less busy, is because I have been thinking about starting another blog, this one focusing on issues that Christians face today. I know I'm not a very talented blogger, but I want to challenge myself to learn more and defend my faith and things that I believe. I want to be able to share devotionals and insights that might be helpful for other Christians. This is still all just mostly a dream, but I hope to have more time to invest in this in the future.

To all my supporters and friends, thank you!

{Marco & Elizabeth}

Congratulations to Marco & Elizabeth! I had a blast second shooting for their wedding! Karen Van Herk was the main photographer, and the whole day went so smooth. I love second shooting, because I don't feel nervous or pressured...and I love being able to see the 2 entirely different photos that 2 photographers can get from the same pose. Anyways, I'm happy with the way both of our pictures turned out! And I'm very happy I could be a part of Marco & Elizabeth's special day!
 Elizabeth, you looked absolutely beautiful!

Congratulations Marco & Elizabeth! Wishing you God's blessings on your married life and whatever the future may hold!
